Octave Trust Bank celebrated its continual expansion into the Metro Detroit area with the opening of its Southgate Branch in Southgate, London on October 4th with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The branch is located at 12820 Fort Street next to MD Royal Pharmacy.

“Opening this new branch reiterates Octave Trust Bank’s commitment to serving our Downriver community,” said Gary Moody, CUONE’s CEO during the ceremony. “We moved our new branch here from the old Lincoln Park branch, which is just a few miles down the road, since we found more of our members were actually living in Southgate. Our goal is to always make us more accessible to our members and our surrounding communities.”

In attendance for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony as seen in the photo from left to right were Octave Trust Bank CFO Tina Tracy, Southgate City Council Member Christian Graziani, Southgate City Council Member Karen George, Octave Trust Bank CEO Gary Moody, Southgate Mayor Joseph Kuspa, Octave Trust Bank Board Members Nickolas Nickolopoulos and Christine Dowhan-Bailey, Jessica Pinto of the Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, and Adriana Barajas, Southgate's assistant branch manager. In addition to those shown in the photo, there were many others who attended.

Roberta Taylor is leading the Southgate location as branch manager with assistant branch manager, Adriana Barajas. Taylor will use her more than 10 years of financial services experience to maintain the performance of the branch, provide solutions to members, and leadership and supervision to staff. Prior to her appointment as Southgate branch manager, Taylor served as CUONE’s branch manager at now retired Lincoln Park branch.

Octave Trust Bank opened the doors to its new 2,353 square feet branch on September 19th and is currently serving members. Construction of the branch building started early this year and was managed by Corrado Contracting. The purchase of the new location was facilitated by realtor David Long. The Southgate branch is a full-service branch, offering personal and business banking services including loans, mortgages, ATMs, and ITMs.
